I did some research on the internet and I found some variables to put into my experiment and they are:
Popcorn Maker (The temperature of kernels being cooked)
The amount of kernels being put in the Popcorn Maker (1 tablespoon)
- Independent Variable- The Brands of the Popcorn
- Dependent Variable- Popping rate of the popcorns measured in second
Popcorn Maker (The temperature of kernels being cooked)
The amount of kernels being put in the Popcorn Maker (1 tablespoon)
How I got my ideas?
I got my ideas from the suggestion provided in the booklet
Problems
The main problem that occurred for me was that, one of my popcorn brands was used as a snack for a movie just before the experiment was performed.
What was I thinking?
Whether to get kernels or the packaged version?
Should I cook it by microwave or by the Popcorn maker?
Should I let it cool down before doing trials and make it fair?
What will i do with the popcorn after the Experiment?
23/2 Saturday- I bought 4 different types of popcorn brands (Poppin, Black and Gold, Riveana and Popcorn King). I bought them in kernels instead of the microwavable packaged version and I'm planning to cook it by a popcorn maker rather than a microwave. (I'll upload pictures later)
My hypothesis is that they will pop the pop at the same rate because they are all corn seeds
24/3 Sunday just before i did my experiment, my family decides to eat one of the popcorn brands i planned on testing on, leaving me to only have 3 left for the experiment. I performed the experiment and i will write the results in the booklet. I finished the booklet and read it thoroughly and I plan on putting it on Word Document during the weekdays.
Through my research, I have found that different popcorn brands differ in popcorn rate because
